These charming little cholitas are made with aguayo - traditional Andean multi-colored woolen cloth - with a soft technique, and come in a useful basket. Their warmth makes them a very popular item amongst children and housewives to decorate their kitchen or room.

I am a Estela, the creator of this craft. Being responsible for my son's care pushed me to go through training and use my creativity. Now these cholitas have become a part of my life. They represent the rural "cholita" from La Paz who wear woolen clothing. Their faces are crafted to reflect the friendly and crafty nature of these Andean women.

My goal is to make a living doing crafts and continue to support my son and my family. If we grow, we will help more people, who like me, are skilled artisans that only need an opportunity to show their art. We believe that fair trade will open that door for us.
