These pencil ornament are handmade by women from the rainforest of Bolivia, home to the Amazon. They are made of jipijapa straw, a palm that grows in the forest and is sustainable. Fair trade supports them by valuing their work, rescuing their experiences, and preserving the rainforest. The little bugs and insects such as butterflies, ants, crickets, dragonflies, ladybugs, coexist with the artisans in the jungle and are represented in these ornaments causing astonishment to all people who value their manual work and the effort to take care of the rainforest.
